We are in a mental health crisis. Depression and anxiety are at an all time high. We feel disconnected and have lost purpose. We lack clarity and are more stressed than ever. We scroll social media and binge watch shows, missing opportunities to be in the present moment and enjoy life. We act without thinking and turn to ineffective habits to help us handle stress or get by day to day.

Everything in our bodies are connected. The mental affects the physical and visa versa. Depression can make us physically feel pain, and physical ailments can lead to feelings of hopelessness.

We can look at all the negatives in life if we choose. We can complain and mope. Or…we can focus on the good. We can practice gratitude. We can move our bodies and begin to create more health. We get to choose.

How we handle stress, how we cope matters. Making decisions from a stable state of mind is important. We need to learn how to honor ourselves and each other by practicing self-care. Because YOU MATTER.
